Description
Robert Jackson drives his mule and wagon to a nearby country store near
Crawfordville, Florida. He takes vegetables grown in his garden and the
store sells them for him. A collection of feature photos of Robert
Jackson by Earl Warren Jr. won the monthly contest with NPPA Southeast
Region 6 in October 1970 and ran in newspapers nationally over AP Wire
on December 3, 1970. Later, Warren was nominated for a Pulitzer prize in
feature photography for this series called: "Old Man in Tallahassee Florida".
