Title
The Blue Marbles Project: Hugh Jackman (2011)
Alt-Text
Description
Hugh Jackman bought a little bit of Australia to San Francisco's Curran Theater with a beautiful rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," when he sang accompanied by two artists on didgeridoo, Paul Boon and Nathan Mundraby.  Hugh's collaboration with artists from Nomad Two Worlds, a socially conscious, program dedicated to supporting indigenous and marginalized communities worldwide, is helping to build cross-cultural respect, understanding, and reconciliation through art. In 2008, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd made a formal apology to Australia’s Indigenous peoples, particularly to the Stolen Generations whose lives had been blighted by past government policies of forced child removal and Indigenous assimilation.
