located at Hunter Street and Roulette Lane.
These images were used as reference materials for “Gwah Gai: Crossing the Street,” (2013) a musical collage by Marcus Shelby & Flo Oy Wong, inspired by Wong’s artwork, “Baby Jack Rice Story,” which retrieves the memories of Wong’s husband’s childhood in Augusta, Georgia during segregation.
